Leander Man Takes Squad Car, then Shot by Troopers
A 39 year old Leander man faces attempted capital murder charges this morning. Police pulled over Donald Andrew Pearson around 9 O'clock last night. Authorities say he got out of his car and threatened police officers, DPS Troopers, and himself. To really understand what happened we need to take you back to about 9 O'clock last night.

A Georgia pharmacist says he's come up with just the right fix to help people "lick" the smoking habit. They're called Nicostop lollipops. Each contains a certain amount of nicotine to gradually reduce your addiction.

LCRA Issues Boil Water Order
The Lower Colorado River Authority has issued a boil water notice for several areas in western Travis County. Officials aren't sure if the water is actually contaminated, but say residents should take precautions.

Gore, Bush Clash Over Tax Cuts
Neither George W. Bush nor Al Gore is expressing any regrets about last night's debate. Bush tells ABC he thinks he handled most of the questions as well as he possibly could have. Gore calls it a "good exchange."
