Big changes are ahead in Central Texas weather. Rain and colder weather are likely by Friday, and may linger into the weekend. The front we've been expecting late today has slowed, and it now appears moisture from the Gulf and Tropical Storm Keith will have time to reach our area before the front arrives, allowing for much higher rain chances. Weak low pressure aloft could continue to bring cloudy skies and some light rain Saturday. Temperatures will drop dramatically with the frontal passage Friday morning, and remain quite cool through the weekend. The latest on intensifying Tropical Storm Keith can be found at the National Hurricane Center's Web site.
